Adding a glow to my skin with highlighter

No7 Highlighter

Recently I’ve been suffering from post-holiday blues and have been feeling a bit low. As a result I’ve fallen off the healthy living wagon and my skin has suffered.

My skin is normally pretty good. However, the past few weeks I’ve had loads of breakouts. It’s also lacked that nice glow that I tend to get when I’m eating better and being good with the exercise.

Last week I made the decision to pull myself out of the slump. I’ve started eating better and I’m trying to exercise at least three times a week. In a bid for instant results I decided to treat myself to a couple of new make-up bits.

A friend at work has amazing skin and her pics on social media always look fab. I asked her what she uses and she recommended the No7 Highlighter. I was game for giving it a try.

It comes in two colours, a bronze version and a pinkie version, which is the one I went with.

I’ve had a play around with it and I absolutely love it! It’s so good that I wanted to share my find on here.

In the photo’s below I have applied my usual tinted moisturiser and blusher and then applied the highlighter to my cheek bones, below and above my eyebrows, the inner corner of my eyes and my nose (not quite sure about that bit though).

I applied it directly from the stick and just gave it a little rub with my fingers to blend and lines. It goes on really easily and you can build it up to achieve the look you’re after. I didn’t go too mad as I wanted it to look really natural.

I think it adds a hint of a glow, but is super natural. It’s not overly obvious like some other highlighters and it doesn’t add sparkle. I think it just makes me look a bit more awake and healthy, which makes it a winner!

I’ll definitely be using it on a regular basis, particularly on a night out. Although it is natural enough that it can be used everyday too.

What do you think?

This looks lovely, I have recently bought a little highlighter palette but I’m not overjoyed with it as it doesn’t blend in very well. Will have a look for this one in Boots! Your skin looks really lovely x
