There are currently countless options available on the market. There are campervans and motorhomes of different sizes, more or less equipment, engines, brand new, used, km 0, second hand, etc. You will have to take into account several factors before making a final decision. First of all, you have to be clear about whether you are going to buy a new motorhome or a second-hand motorhome. With second-hand motorhomes, you will find lower prices, but you have to assess certain aspects such as the condition of the motorhome, number of owners it has had, humidity, mileage, condition of the furniture, equipment, etc. It is advisable in these cases to go to dealers in the Caravaning sector.

In the event that you are with the idea of buying a new motorhome you will not have to worry about the condition of the vehicle and you can also add custom accessories, since it is something that dealers usually have at your disposal. You can make it kid or pet friendly if you need to and there is plenty you can do to upgrade it! Keep in mind that motorhomes allow a high level of customization, not only aesthetically but also in terms of accessories; solar panels, hydraulic legs, auxiliary batteries, safety locks, parabolic antennas, extra water tanks, special gas installations and a host of additional accessories.

Here are the types that you may encounter when searching!

The boxcars type camper tend to be smaller and have fewer beds. They usually have one or two double beds, although in some cases we can find two single twin beds (they can be joined). They also usually have a small kitchen, a dining space and a complete bathroom with a shower, sink and toilet.

If we want something larger, the ideal are profiled- type motorhomes  , since they offer an intermediate size and lower weight, which translates into greater maneuverability and lower consumption. In addition, they allow many types of bedtime configurations, such as twin single beds, island beds, folding beds, etc.

The next type is the most common and you have probably seen hundreds of them on the road. We are talking about capuchin motorhomes , which get their name from the vaulted area above the cabin. Their main feature is that they usually have a large central aisle and the beds are located at the rear and front of the cell, which offers more interior space and a great feeling of spaciousness in the vehicle. They are generally 4, 5, 6 or 7 seats to travel and sleep. So if you want to take the whole family on a trip, this is perfect!
