Capturing our moments {October & November}

Birthday celebrations

I’ve been a little quiet on here recently. Once again, life has been silly busy and despite my best intentions I haven’t got round to posting in a while.

I have the biggest list of posts that I want to write and share, but it’s that crazy time of year, so blogging is just not happening at the minute!

I thought it would be nice to do a little update though of what we’ve been up to recently (and help ease my guilt of the fact that I’ve been neglecting my blog of late) and this actually conincides well with the fact that I’m actually due to do my regular ‘Caputuring our moments’ post.

So, what have we been doing over the last couple of months?

Well, it’s probably more a question of what we haven’t been doing, so I’ll try not to waffle on too much.

Nights out

During the past couple of month’s I’ve managed a night out with the girls and a couple of date nights with hubby, which have been lovely and much needed after a stressful couple of months at work (for him). It also gave me the opportunity to give my leopard print heels, which I got in the Dune sale, an outing!

Halloween

We of course had Halloween In October, so the kids dressed up and we went went around our local area, with a group of friends, doing ‘trick or treat’. I love the community feel of where we live and how the majority of people really get into the spirit of Halloween.

Bonfire Night

For Bonfire weekend we went to visit our friends, who live near London. We took our new Go Pro along with us, so you can see exactly what we go up to here.

Birthday celebrations

In November, my Mum turned 70. I’m so close to my Mum and she does so much for me that it was really important that we went all out with the birthday celebrations. We spent a weekend in London, along with my Sister and Niece. We gave my Mum a huge surprise when we revealed that we’d booked her and my Dad an australian cruise for next year. It’s been my Mum’s dream to visit Australia and New Zealand and with them both getting older, we decided that they really need to do it soon.

As the kids didn’t come to London with us, with celebrated with them by going to our lovel local Indian restaurant,  a firm favourite for our family birthday celebrations – they loved it!

Some winter sun

At the end of November we went on a Disney Cruise around the Caribbean. We went with my Mum and Dad as part of her extended birthday celebrations. I hate the cold winter weather, so I love going away this time of year. The holiday was amazing and I’m planning to do a full post as soon as I can, so keep your eyes peeled! We also took our Go Pro and shot lots of footage, so once I’ve edited all together I’ll post on here.

A new job!

I’m also really excited to reveal that during November I was offered a new role, which I’m really excited about! I start in January and will be working as a Marketing Consultant at V Formation. I will be working with various companies, helping them with their marketing needs.

I currently work as a Marketing Manager for a small family-owned business, so my new role will be quite different, but in a good way. I’ll be working alongside some inspirational marketers, who I’ve worked with in previous roles and I really can’t wait!

I’ll share more once I’m settled.

So, there you have it, a hectic couple of months! As we’re now well and truly in December, the craziness continues. Although, to be honest, I’m not sure I’d want it any other way 🙂

J xx
