Our trip to Las Vegas and Los …

We recently spent two weeks in Las Vegas and Los Angeles for a family wedding. Here’s what we got up to. When my youngest niece, Nicolle, announced she was getting married in Las Vegas we knew that we’d definitely be attending. We’re quite close, so I didn’t want to miss her special day. Also, Las Vegas and Los Angeles are both places that Simon and I love. We used to go to Vegas lots prior to kids, so it holds lots of great memories for us both. When we planned the trip, we thought we’d make the most of being…

Things to do in Los Angeles with …

During May half term, we’re heading to Las Vegas and Los Angeles. I’ve been to both places before, but that was pre-kids. Recently we’ve been doing some research on some of the best attractions and places to visit with kids. Here’s a roundup of things to do in Los Angeles with kids. Things to do in Los Angeles with kids Hollywood Walk of Fame I know that Hollywood can be a bit dodgy, but no trip to Los Angeles would be complete without a trip to the Hollywood Walk of Fame. When we visited previously, we parked at the Chinese…

Our 2019 travel plans

As 2018 draws to a close its time to start thinking about where we want to explore in the year ahead, in fact planning our holidays, helps me to get through winter! I thought I’d share our 2019 travel plans on here. Tenerife Technically this one commences in 2018, but as it also falls in 2019, I thought I should include it. We’re heading to Tenerife on 29th Dec for a week and I can’t wait. The last couple of months have been a bit stressful with one thing and another. Plus, I always find the run up to Christmas…

Our family travel bucket list

There are so many places that we want to visit in the world. Some of these are actually countries that we want to explore, others are hotels, resorts or destinations that just look amazing. I’ve decided to share our current family travel bucket list, so that we can hopefully tick them off over the years. Although I suspect as one place gets ticked off, another one will get added! The Maldives – this is probably top on my list. I’m not sure Simon is quite as keen as he worries that he’ll get bored. For me though, it looks like…

Planning our trip to Las Vegas and …

Next May, my niece is getting married in Las Vegas. We’ve decided to take advantage of the opportunity and also visit Los Angeles, Anaheim and some of California’s well-known beaches, whilst we’re over there. We’ve started to plan our trip, so I thought I’d share our plans with you on here with you. The flights We’ve already booked our flights with Virgin Atlantic. We got a great deal by booking through American Express. They were just under £500 each. We fly from Heathrow to Las Vegas and the return flight is from LA to Heathrow. Virgin has recently changed their…

My Captured Moment

This week’s My Captured Moment is a shot taken on our recent holiday to Dubai, which you can read about here. We had an amazing time and I think this photo captures that. The boys had gone to the kids club for a couple of hours but Heidi wanted to stay with us, so her and Simon went for a little walk around the hotel, which is when he captured this. J x

Our stay at the Atlantis, Dubai

During the May half-term break we went on holiday to Dubai. Simon and I have been a couple of times in the past – 10 years ago, pre-kids and five years ago when Oscar was 11 months old. Both times we loved it. The hotels are luxurious, the shopping is amazing, the beaches are beautiful and at just over six hours, the flight isn’t too much of an ordeal. The only downside, and probably the reason we haven’t been in five years is that it can be quite expensive for flights and hotels. However, on this occasion Simon managed to…
