I love our kitchen, which was massively extended a couple of years ago (you can read all about it and see a few pics here).
I also really love having fresh flowers in our kitchen. Either on the island or on the dining table. However, it’s not alway practical to buy fresh flowers every week – I’m not that organised and I think hubby would call them an unnecessary luxury! So, recently I’ve been looking for an alternative, and on our recent visit to the Hilton Deansgate in Manchester, I found the perfect solution – some funky plants, which were on the tables when we had breakfast.
At the weekend I was delighted to come across just the plants I was looking for at Homebase. I was even more delighted when I discovered that they were only £3.97. The price included the pot too – bargain! I bought three (I really think three items often work together so much better than two – perhaps that’s why I have three kids!!) and I think they look great on the island in our kitchen.
Here are some pics…
So, what do you think? As sad as it is to get so excited over plants, I absolutely love them!! I just need to make sure I keep them alive!!

Aaah it’s NOT sad to get overexcited by plants!!! At least that’s what I tell myself when I’m getting all giddy that my Orchid has got a new flower!!! 😉 Love these Jemma — might go and invest in some myself! 🙂 #HomeEtc

I’d have fresh flowers every week too if I could justify the expense. These look great hun! x
They’re cute aren’t they? So, far I haven’t managed to kill them either! Jemma x
