Capturing our moments – June

June Capturing Our Moments

I’m a little late writing this post, but better late then never I suppose!

I thought this month had been pretty quiet, but flicking back through photo’s in preparation for writing this post, it’s clear that it’s actually been quite busy.

At the beginning of the month we had an amazing week in Dubai, which I’ve written a full post on, which you can read here.

After the hol it was back on the healthy eating and exercise plan to shed the weight I’d out on (8lbs!), ready for our next hol in July.

It took a couple of weeks to get over the post-holiday blues, which I always seem to get. Please tell me I’m not the only one who suffers with these..?! I’m sure the awful rain we’ve had recently hasn’t helped either! As a result of the rain we’ve  have been doing a bit of baking and spending lots of time at Costa!

June was the Queen’s birthday, so the twins attending a special tea party at pre school to celebrate, which was really lovely. Although I’m not massively into the Royals, I do like a bit of patriotism.

We also had Father’s Day in June, which was lovely. We had a great day celebrating the wonderful Fathers in our lies. I’ve written all about here.

We’ve tried to get out for walks as much as possible and when the weather allows. One Sunday we decided to have a drive to Bakewell in Derbyshire, which isn’t that far from us. We had a fab time exploring the pretty little town, enjoying a long country walk and of course sampling the renowned Bakewell Pudding, which was super tasty!

Now the twins are a bit older and can do a decent walk without the buggy we find going for a long walk a great way to keep us all entertained for minimum cost.

Oscar joined Beavers this month and was super proud when he was invested and got his necker.

We’ve also had Sports Days, which were both very cute. I actually wrote a separate post on these too, which you can take a peek at here.

In terms of blogging, I’ve managed to get my mojo back and am posting more often. I’ve recently, after a few months of saving, treated myself to a new MacBook Air, which I absolutely love. It’s amazing for blogging! I’ve also moved to WordPress self-hosted, which I’m loving.

July is going to be a busy month, we’ve got Simon’s birthday, which is a big one, we go on hol and Oscar breaks up from school. I’m also hoping for  less rain too!

What did you get up to in June?
